Ultrasonic distance detector
Utilizes IO trigger for a high-level signal of at least 10us. • Ensures stable performance and accurate measurement of distances. • Detection distance: 0.78196 inches (2cm); High precision: up to 0.12 inches (0.3 cm); Detection angle: <15°. • Fully compatible with GH-311 anti-theft module, expanding its functionality. • HC-SR04 for Arduino ultrasonic sensor emits eight 40 kHz pulses and detects the presence of any pulse signal returning. If a signal is detected, a high-level signal is outputted through IO, with the signal duration representing the time from ultrasonic transmission to reception.
Module Features:
- Stable and Precise Distance Measurement: This module offers reliable performance and accurate distance measurement, comparable to foreign SRF05 and SRF02 Ultrasonic Ranging Modules.
- Compact Design: The module is designed to be compact, with a super-close blind spot (2cm) and a wide detection range (2cm-450cm).
- Compatibility: It is fully compatible with the GH-311 anti-theft module, providing additional functionality.
- Easy Wiring: The module has simple panel wiring, including VCC, trig (control), echo (receiver), out (unused), and GND connections.
- High Precision: The module provides a high precision of up to 0.3cm.
- Voltage and Current: Operates at a voltage of DC5V with a quiescent current of less than 2mA.
- Output Levels: The output is a high-level signal of 5V and a low-level signal of 0V.
- Induction Angle: The module has a detection angle of less than 15 degrees.
Module Operation:
- IO Trigger: Ranging is initiated by a high-level signal of at least 10us duration.
- Ultrasonic Signal Transmission: The module automatically emits eight 40kHz square waves and detects the presence of a returning signal.
- Signal Output: If a signal is detected, a high-level signal is outputted through the IO pin, with the duration representing the time taken for the ultrasonic signal to travel from the module to the target and back.
- Distance Calculation: The test distance can be calculated using the formula: (time high * speed of sound (340M/S)) / 2.
Note: The module should be powered up after being properly inserted into the circuit board to avoid malfunctions. The OUT pin is used as a switch output when connected to an anti-theft module, and it is not utilized in ranging applications.
This module is user-friendly and can be easily integrated into projects. By applying a high-level signal of 10us to the control port, users can receive a high-level output at the receiving port. By measuring the timer value when the output goes low, the distance can be calculated. This process can be repeated continuously to achieve accurate and consistent distance measurements.
