Please note, that while these can move huge current, if you plan to use them with a DC motor, then ensure that you utilize the SNUBBER KIT!!! included with the unit
If you're using it for a non inductive load (like a HHO cell, you dont need the snubber)

As with the previous 400W controller, the 2000W is the absolute MAXIMUM this can handle. So don't go and stick a 2000W motor onto it, which is a little silly because remember, just starting a 2000W motor, you can draw up to several times the locked rotor current! So with that thinking the biggest motor you would put on this would be around a 350-450W motor.

And while this controller has diode protection for back EMF from the motor, you are SERIOUSLY advised to run a snubber with this, because again, a 400-450W motor depending on the windings and the power rating of the motor, can feed a LOT more power BACK into the motor outputs on the controller which is FAR greater than what its rated to handle. Basically it can easily burn out the diode.

This is where you will run into issues. Its not built to take a 2000V spike, fed back into the controller from the motor, so get a snubber kit with this if you plan to use it on a motor!, otherwise you run the risk of damaging the controller, not by the current that it draws, but the power a collapsing inductive winding of a motor that pushes a huge voltage spike back to the controller!

So if you are running this with ANY SORT OF INDUCTIVE LOAD (LIKE A MOTOR or other type of coil or winding) THEN ALSO GET A SNUBBER KIT WITH IT, IF YOU WANT IT TO LAST!!

Non inductive loads are fine, you do not need a snubber for these.

The 9V-48V DC 40A PWM DC Motor Speed Controller is an excellent choice for those seeking reliability and cost effectiveness. Although it may not boast a multitude of features, it is a simple and efficient solution to your smaller scale control needs.

This controller is incredibly easy to use. All you need to do is connect your battery and motor, and you're good to go! The potentiometer, with a maximum output of 2000W, comes pre-attached, and there's even an on/off function as you turn the pot all the way anti-clockwise. Plus, it is always on when connected to power.

So if you're looking for a dependable and budget-friendly motor speed controller, look no further than the 9V-48V DC 40A PWM DC Motor Speed Controller. It's a no-brainer for anyone in need of a simple and reliable solution for controlling their motors.
