Busy, busy, busy....

It's been a very busy few months and there's been a lot happening both here at Motion Dynamics and in the rest world too!

Our range of Speed Controllers have increased in price by a few dollars. This is in a large part due to the increased costs of the aluminium cases which we buy locally, the cost of the PCB's and the fact that we now include a more bulletproof front end on all the controllers we manufacture.

We found that while 95% of the controllers were extremely reliable, 5%would come back with the front end's blown out. When we had some of these problem motors sent to us for testing, we noticed two things. People were using these controllers with industrial type DC motors, and that all of the motors that caused problems were units with big windings for high start-up torque generation!

Even though the previous design used reasonably high voltage/current diodes in the front we found that because of the generic nature of the controller it was best to redesign the front end to be stronger for reliably running these types of motors. This is now fixed in all the new controllers.

We have been testing some more worm drives which have so far proven to be rugged and efficient! You'll see more of these over the next few months!

And best of all, we now offer a new HHO only controller! This unit comfortably delivers up to 80A of current for your HHO system wether it's a in house or vehicle setup!
Best of all, if you put on a bigger heat-sink or mount a fan, currents of up to 120 Amps can be realised.
