Important changes to International shipping!
We have now changed all International shipping orders to go via Australia Post "Express Post International" and will be no longer offering Standard Air Mail as an option.
This is largely because people always choose Standard Air Mail, which is
about 3%-5% cheaper and only takes a few days longer to
deliver.
The issue for us, is that this shipping method has no option for ANY tracking or
insurance, so we have no idea where exactly the goods are at any particular time
and all we know is when the goods were delivered, which doesn't help the
customer.
Meanwhile, as the delivery is still in transit, we get emails from customers wanting to know where their goods are, and really, until they are delivered, we have no idea!
To solve this, we decided to register all the goods that were shipped, but for
some countries, registration isn't available and so then we have to go to the
next form of shipping which is Express Post International and cover the extra
ourselves.
Now, with the Express Post International, once we've posted your goods and sent
your the tracking number, you can simply track the goods yourself online!
It's not much more expensive, and we only charge what Australia Post charges
us. The web site sends the assumed box dimensions and weight to Australia
Post, and they return the live shipping price during the checkout process.
It's expensive, we know it. But until we can find a better solution, this is the best we can do.
